Vacation
I'm finally getting to posting a few pictures from summer. We had a great vacation that started with us going down to Olympia. We started by spending a couple days with our dear friends Bug and Ben and got to celebrate their sweetest daughters birthday. About the cutest birthday girl I ever saw!
See, she's the cutest
Then we drove to Lake Cushman

And we landed at Bug and Ben's quaint, welcoming cabin. The first night it was raining which ended up being perfect. We cozied up in this miniature cabin, cooked a meal and then everyone loaded onto one bed and read together, actually the perfect beginning to our time there.

And then we ventured into town and saw the local fishermen coming in. They gave us some of their catch and fish tacos were suddenly on the menu... until Nate attempted to fillet the fish. My homemade aioli and slaw ended up being used with tator tots from the corner store instead of our mutilated fish, but it was still a exciting event for the kids, and we were all thankful that Nate didn't lose a finger in the end (:
Lucy's just pretending that she doesn't see what is going one, we were all a little nervous.

Soda and licorice. Classic.

The end of an era
This was a good house for us. We loved this house. We love this house. Our church began here with 9 people, we brought our precious twins home in this house and made many, many memories here. Other than my childhood home, it's the first place that really felt like "home". We were actually planning on expanding it and living here forever. However, in the blink of an eye our plans changed. The numbers came in for expanding and it was way too much, it just didn't make sense. And then within 4 hours we had made the decision to sell our house and buy our good friend's the Glasby's house. It was wild... maybe impulsive, but whatever it was, we trust God was guiding it. Here's an ode to the house, you were good to us!
Our beloved front porch, maybe the hardest thing of all to leave.
