After the twinsies go to bed Nate reads to the kids, it is such a peaceful time that gives a great close to busy days.

Trip to Oakland
We got to go down to Oakland to see Granny and Nate's brother and family. We had a great time and it was such a treat to see both GG and the (other) Walkers. The cousins played their hearts out, enjoyed the sun (there was sunnnn!), and soaked in every second of it!
Ada gravitates to Granny
Ajax and Jen dropped by too
We decided, since we only had 3 kids, to pop on the ferry to San Fran. It was such a good decision and so much fun! Our kids took a trolly and we had a perfect day in the city (below is the part it was not so perfect for Frank, but he did great too, And look, mom's still smiling!)
Sisters!
We let them each choose 2 special things, the break down:
Will: corn dog and cotton candy
Lucy: ice cream and trolly pen
Ada: carousal and ice cream
I think because we don't get to do "family vacations" very often they were eating it up. It was such a special time we had together. Can't wait 'til the twinsies are old enough to join.

My sister and kids came up (a while ago)
I was going through my pictures and came across these. Since I'm blogging again and all I thought I'd put them up. It was such a fun time, and I figure I'll remember it better if I have it on the blog. Nate was gone at Presbytery so my sister offered to come up and "do life" with me. We decided it was fun to "do life" together and think we should do it more!

Here's Jode doing what she does so well, baking! She even bakes with kids. Not me. I'm scared.

Christmas at my folks
We got to help my folks decorate for Christmas this year and it ended up being all the more special because we missed our actual Christmas celebration with them and my sisters due to the flu and pneumonia :( Our kids were enchanted by their Christmas decorations, it was so fun to see them explore each decoration as it would come out of the box.
My dad set up and electric train and the kids loved it, the only problem was trying to keep Henry's little paws off of it.

Let's take a closer look at this
