The House- part 2

I posted a couple pics already of our house, but more were requested. We're pretty close to feeling moved in, but still need to add some finishing touches. For the most part we really love living here, a house is just so different than an apartment.

The unfinished basement that I tried to turn into livable space for us. Nate and I have our desks down here, couches and tv. The other 2/3 of the basement is used for storage.

Fall morning

The long awaited fall morning greeted us as we marched out the door for some early morning play. I was thrilled by the fact that we had to go back inside to bundle up with sweatshirts. A couple adventures were had, leaves were tossed and little legs ran off their restlessness.

A bit pre-mature

I took the hats out in anticipation of fall. I found this hat and love it. The irony of Will wearing the hat is that it's supposed to be 90 degrees today. 90 in October! Maybe I should have kept out the bathing suits instead of the hats.

A look into the future

I took this pic of Lucy and Nate and I were both struck by how old she looks. We both felt like we were looking at her in Middle School or High School. Just last night our friend Peter told us that her face is looking older. Our little girl is growing up.

A party to be had

Lucy had been anticipating her friend Zoe's birthday party ever since she heard about it. She got to dress up in her pretty dress and have a fun party with all her little friends.

signs of the season

Our first pumpkin pie, maybe in attempts to speed fall into gear, maybe a way to kill time during the day, maybe because they are so good. I would say the pumpkin pie came to be because of a combination of these factors. Lucy was very excited to give dad the pumpkin pie we worked on. When he came in she said, "here's a pumpkin pie for you, cause you worked so hard today." Mmmm, was that pie good, looking forward to many more.

On to the next

We're getting pretty close to settled in our new home. It's a cute little brick home with 2 bedrooms and a great basement that we have turned into our tv room and office. We just love being in a house with a backyard and think this house will do us well for our remaining time here.
