My Faves

Ok, yes, I've been lame about posting- just one of those times. So, just for the sake of posting, I'll reintroduce a couple of my favorite pics of the wee-ones from last year. I really want to frame one, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I also don't know which one to blow up and frame? Any thoughts? #1 or #2?

Sunday Hike

We went with two families from church on a great hike! It was beautiful, right by the river. The kids did great! We thought it was a 1.5 mile hike and it ended up being between 3 and 4. Lucy hardly broke a sweat, this girl's energy level is ridiculous. On the way home from a long afternoon and hike (at 8:00), she was still asking to go to another park, the library... anywhere! She loved being with all the kids and was quite spoiled with attention. Will on the other hand was very happy in the back-pack. These kids are great, loved snapping some pictures of them.

Papa and Maz

Maz and Papa made it out for this last weekend and we had such a great time, it went to fast though. We went out to dinner a couple times, went on a hike (using that term very loosely), went swimming and just hung out. We were very spoiled. Thanks maz and papa for everything- we love you!

Will was not fond of the pool at the hotel, truth be told, we haven't been swimming much lately- so both kids are a bit water shy.
This is where they spent most of there time, feet it the hot tub.
Enamored with Papa

We walked around on these beautiful trails, oh yes, I mean hiked. Papa helped Lucy look under logs for creepy crawlers. It kept her quite entertained, but they didn't have much success in finding many crawlers.
A novel idea- a picture of me with my main squeeze!

Our Hyacinths

(Thanks Glen and Audrey for letting me know what these are called, these smell amazing)

A Yummy Dish

I made a yummy salad from this amazing website that my friend told me about. It was so fresh and colorful. A couple regrets though: 1) it was lightening and thundering while I was eating and this salad just screams for sunshine! 2) It also would love to be accompanied by a glass of white wine... and it wasn't. 3) I don't think it's a "main act" pasta, maybe more like a side with some barbecued chicken or it would be great picnic food. 4) If you make it for your family of 4 or 5 definitely half it!
A trick I learned. I gave the kids all the "leftovers" from the veggies with a pitcher of water and they "cooked" while I did. It kept them quite entertained during the cooking process- good thing too, cause I did a lot of chopping!
